Department's Vision: The Department of Engineering Sciences (ES) is unique at Middle East Technical University and within its Faculty of Engineering through its integration of established and emerging scientific theories into transformative approaches for engineering principles, analyses, simulations, design and practices. The department's role is to expand the curriculum beyond classical continuum mechanics by assimilating advances in the sciences, computational mechanices, biomechanics and bioenginering into new approaches and tools. Thus, ES strives to be an internationally recognized focal program for the learning and discovery of multiscale interdisciplinary systems.

  • Yarı Zamanlı Öğretim Üyesi Duyurusu

    Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Mühendislik Bilimleri Bölümünde, 2021-22 Güz Döneminde Mühendislik Matematiği ve Mühendislik mekaniği alanlarında, özellikle aşağıdaki derslerin İngilizce olarak verilmesi için yeterli bilgi ve eğitim düzeyine sahip (en az Doktora Derecesi olan) yarı zamanlı öğretim üyesi aranmaktadır.

  • Faculty Position-Preevaluation

    Department of Engineering Sciences at Middle East Technical University invites applications for pre-evaluation of a full-time tenure track position in Classical Mechanics Subject at Assistant Professor Level. Applicants who have Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering Bachelor’s degree and can give undergraduate level mechanics/engineering mathematics courses and graduate level Mechanics courses (Continuum mechanics. Fracture mechanics etc.) courses are preferred.
